Mentors have a unique opportunity to share their interest of building with youth. Alongside youth, they walk through the process of building something, showing them how to use various tools, and best practices.
TEACH LIFE SKILLS
Building and working with your hands lends to a tangible way to learn life skills. Mentors get to teach skills like problem solving, team work, healthy risk-taking, how to deal with mistakes and so much more.
EMPOWER
By consistently showing up, mentors have an opportunity to be a positive and trusting adult in the lives of youth. This naturally leads to helping them through various life decisions, problems, and celebrating with them.
